Allen Meadows - Score: 91-93 (2018 January)

An exuberantly spicy and marked floral nose reveals notes of lavender and violet along with mostly dark berry aromas that are trimmed in a hint of sandalwood. The muscular, indeed even robust medium-bodied flavors flash a subtle minerality on the firm, dense, sappy and youthfully austere finish. This firm effort is excellent and well worth considering, though at least some patience is strongly advised.
