Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 91 (2017 Jan.)

A perfumed and once again cool and airy nose displays notes of red currant, cherry and warm earth. There is excellent intensity to the energetic middle weight flavors that possess good precision on the firm and dusty but not really rustic finish that delivers excellent persistence. This balanced effort is a bit more structured than it typically is and will definitely require a few years before it will be approachable.

Vinous - Score: 92 (2014 Mar.)

Bright medium red. Dark cherry, raspberry and flowers on the nose, plus a whiff of earth. Much tighter in the mouth than the Chambolle villages but already wonderfully suave and perfumed, showing a dusty, tactile quality and a lovely balance of sweet and saline elements. The dark raspberry and menthol flavors carry impressively on the perfumed, minerally back end.
