Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 91 (2019 Jun.)

Sulfur dominates the nose today and not much else can be discerned. However there is good freshness and verve to the rich and relatively full-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract which also imparts a seductive texture to the citrusy and markedly dry finish. Though this is a bit awkward today, it should find its center once the sulfur has been integrated.

Vinous - Score: 87-89 (2019 Jan.)

The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru has a light, slightly nutty bouquet that feels a little overawed by the Saint-Aubin Premier Crus at the moment. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, yet it feels a little too straight-laced whereas the Saint-Aubins have more...pizzazz. (DIAM closure)
