Allen Meadows - Score: 83-86 (2002 Apr.)

Crafted in a completely different style as this is exceptionally dark and displays, at least at this point, too much new oak on the nose. The flavors are also heavily oaked and quite tannic and this finishes somewhat abruptly. Quite particular and it's hard to see this ever fully integrating both the wood and grape tannins plus the vanilla from the oak. Average at best.
