I have noticed that some bottles of the '98 DRCs have slightly cloudy appearances and reduced aromas. This most recent bottle though possessed a beautifully spicy nose of wonderfully complex and now fully mature secondary fruit aromas. The medium full, rich and equally spicy flavors are shaped by now relatively pliant tannins on the delicious, balaned and lingering finish. Multiple and mostly consistent notes though I have had a few bottles where the reduction was sufficiently pronounced to impair the overall drinking experience.
