Wine Critics Notes:
Allen Meadows - Score: 89-92(2016 Apr.)
Here too there is enough wood to notice surrounding the more elegant and slightly more complex nose that is comprised by dark currant, earth and a hint of forest floor. The medium-bodied flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the Perrières but they are notably finer in large part thanks to the somewhat finer grain of the supporting tannins on the suave but focused and ever-so-slightly austere finish. This balanced but notably firm effort will clearly require at least a decade of cellaring to realize its full potential.
