Wine Critics Notes:
Allen Meadows - Score: NR(2017 Apr.)
Here the nose is reduced to the point that it flirts with mercaptans (think burnt rubber notes) and while I did not have the opportunity to allow the wine an extended aeration, usually when whiffs of mercaptans are present they usually don't blow off. On the plus side the round suave and very rich flavors are delicious and attractively textured while offering good persistence. While this is not without some appeal, it's hard to get past the nose. Not rated.
