Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 89 (2018 April)

Initially the nose opens with enough reduction to warrant decanting this for say 15 to 20 minutes or so. It does though eventually blow off to reveal lovely aromas of apple, hazelnut and soft floral notes that are just beginning to display the first nuances of age. There is good verve and lovely detail to the medium-bodied and utterly delicious middle weight flavors that exude a discreet minerality on the balanced and lingering finish. For my taste this is close enough to being ready that it could certainly be enjoyed now but for those who prefer their whites with more evident age, and the benefits that it can bring, would be better advised to allow this to rest in the cellar for another 1 to 3 years. While this lacks a bit of mid-palate density, overall this is a fine villages. Tasted several times with consistent notes.
