Allen Meadows - Score: 86-88 (2005 July)

Strong fermentation aromas and a touch of wood spice lead to big, very rich flavors of ample size and weight though there is not great detail and certainly less cut than several other of the various Meursault villages cuvées . Still, there appears to be enough balance and material to suggest a few years of potential improvement in the cellar.
