Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 96 (2019 Mar.)

As is often the case with the Coche wines upon initially being opened there is a mild touch of reduction present though aggressive swirling reveals a mature and heavenly perfumed ultra-pure nose of lemon, lime, acacia blossom and a touch of white peach. There is fine density to the sappy yet chiseled medium weight flavors that possess plenty of the hallmark minerality on the anise and spice-infused finish that delivers simply stunning persistence. This is a dramatic, powerful, concentrated and complete Perrières that for my taste has just now arrived at the front end of its peak drinkability though it should be capable of holding here for years to come. Multiple, and consistent, notes for this brilliant effort as my scores have bounced between 95 and 96.
