Allen Meadows - Score: 88-91 (2021 April)

Gentle wood sets off overtly spicy and earth aromas that blend notes of both red and dark pinot fruit. Here too the barely middle weight flavors possess a really lovely texture thanks to the lilting mouthfeel of the punch, balanced and sneaky long finish. As it always is, this is a Meursault rouge of finesse and refinement though it will need to add depth to merit the upper end of my predicted range.
