A disappointing nose of drying, completely secondary aromas lead to lightish, not particularly complex or nuanced flavors and a thinning, still tannic finish that displays more than a touch of astringency. While certainly drinkable, the quality here is not what one would expect, even in the context of a difficult vintage.
