This is markedly earthier with plenty of sauvage nuances to the ripe and very spicy aromas of cassis, black cherry and sandalwood. There is a lush yet focused mouth feel to the relatively large-scaled flavors that possess solid size and weight as well as good punch on the firm but not hard finish that possesses very fine balance. This should amply reward 10 to 12 years of cellar time yet be approachable after 5 or 6.
