Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 89 (2015 Apr.)

As one might reasonably expect this is much more elegant with its agreeably airy and pure aromas that combine notes of plum, violet, sandalwood, exotic tea and discreet spice nuances. There is equally good purity to the mineral-inflected and beautifully well-delineated middle weight flavors that deliver solid persistence on the balanced and refined finale. This is very Chambolle in character but with plenty of punch.

Vinous - Score: 87-89 (2015 Jan.)

Good dark red. Slightly high-toned aromas of strawberry and underbrush, plus a whiff of coffee reduction. Saline and slightly dry, with redcurrant and leather flavors framed by sound acidity. Comes across as a bit hard and dry after the grand crus from Corton but finishes with good salty persistence.
