Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 92 (2015 Apr.)

This isn't quite as aromatically elegant but it is ever-so-slightly more complex and a bit more deeply pitched as well with its aromas of plum, violet, dark currant and exotic tea elements. There is a lilting and refinement mouth feel to the delicious middle weight flavors that are at once generous yet delineated, all wrapped in a beautifully well-balanced and lingering finish where the supporting tannins are just a bit firmer as well. Good stuff and worth your interest.

Vinous - Score: 88-90 (2015 Jan.)

Healthy full red. High-toned, musky perfume of redcurrant and pepper. Juicy, savory and soil-driven, with spicy acidity keeping the redcurrant and iron flavors under wraps today. A distinctly savory, dry style of Chambolle, a bit reduced and hard to taste today.
