Allen Meadows - Score: 93-93 (2022 April)

Pungent aromas consist of reduction and wood toast. More interesting are the racy, intense and beautifully detailed mineral-driven flavors that once again are not especially dense though do offer fine depth and persistence on the austere, compact and backward finish. Like all quality examples of the appellation, this is going to need at least 8 to 10 years of cellaring and, one hopes at least, that it will further flesh out.
