Here the nose is more expressive than it normally is with an unusually perfumed and highly spiced collection of liqueur-like dark currant, plum, violet, earth and sandalwood scents that are trimmed in discreet oak nuances. The sleek, cool and again relatively elegant big-bodied flavors possess strikingly good mid-palate concentration before delivering flat out superb complexity on the muscular but balanced and hugely long finish. This terrific effort is a definite 'wow' wine and built to enjoy an extremely long life.
