Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 89-91 (2016 Apr.)

A discreet but not invisible application of wood frames ripe, fresh and early red and dark currant scents. There is good volume and excellent richness to the concentrated and relatively powerful middle weight flavors that brim with dry extract, all wrapped in a rustic, firm and very serious but not hard to austere finale. Recommended provided that you have the requisite patience to wait.

Vinous - Score: 89+ (2019 Jun.)

The 2014 Pommard Les Perrières has a generous bouquet with red berry fruit, iodine and hints of marmalade, developing a subtle floral scent with aeration. The palate is well balanced with sappy red fruit, good grip and quite saline. It clams up a little towards the finish, but otherwise this is a fine Pommard that probably deserves another 48 months in bottle. Tasted at Flint Wines' Value Burgundy tasting.
