Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 91 (2012 Sep.)

With 30 minutes of air the macerated character of the nose begins to diminish and is replaced by a perfumed red berry fruit nose that is relatively refined and quite pure. There is good richness and body to the medium weight flavors that possess good mid-palate concentrated as well as firm but phenolically mature tannins on the attractively intense and mildly austere finish where there is just a hint of bitterness. Note that the bitterness is, in my view, just the result of some youthful asperity as the supporting structure is definitely ripe. This should be quite good if given a few years of cellar time first.
