A barely perceptible whiff of wood sets off the baked apple, pear and soft citrus scents. There is better volume to the round and caressing flavors that possess reasonably good vibrancy on the delicious and lingering if every so mildly warm finale. What I found interesting about this wine is how much it changed with air as initially it seemed a bit flat and lacking in freshness yet after an hour of air, it became almost a different wine with much better verve and persistence. Even so, I would not be inclined to age this for more than 5 to 7 years.
