A more expressive and extremely fresh nose offers up notes of earth, dark currant, spice and plum. The ripe, seductive and mouth coating middle weight plus flavors possess excellent mid-palate density before culminating in a powerful and muscular finish that is once again youthfully austere. This muscular effort is certainly a big wine but there is so much sap that it should also be reasonably approachable in its youth. In a word, excellent.
