Allen Meadows - Score: 92-94 (2017 Jan.)

This presents an interesting nose in that it contrasts distinct floral elements with those of earth and the sauvage on the spicy red and black raspberry-suffused aromas. There is excellent underlying tension to the well-muscled and powerful flavors that are also quite concentrated before terminating in a gorgeously complex, balanced and hugely long finish. Like the Charmes though, plenty of patience will be required.
