Allen Meadows - Score: 92 (2016 January)

Here the wood treatment is a bit more obvious though not so much as to dominate the overtly spicy plum and dark berry fruit aromas where a very subtle hint of chocolate is discernible. The middle weight flavors are intense and energetic where the wonderfully long finish is robust, serious and very clearly built-to-age. I very much like this muscular effort though note well that this is a wine to buy and forget for at least a decade.
