Here the reduction is a bit more prominent though not so much as to completely mask the underlying aromas of citrus and pear. Otherwise there is good mid-palate volume to the round, fleshy and citrus-inflected flavors that possess better length than depth though this is also really quite good.

(from a blend of old and young vines in a very warm spot--always with the lowest acidity in the cellar, according to Gon, who noted that the young vines bring needed freshness): Pure Chardonnay stone fruit aromas show an exotic, candied aspect. Then surprisingly juicy and energetic, even youthfully bound-up, with a fresh apricot flavor dominating in the early going. A bit simple today, and slightly phenolic on the back end. The nose is very ripe but the palate suggests early picking.
