Allen Meadows - Score: 90 (2017 January)

This is also very Gevrey with an openly floral nose that offers up pretty and layered aromas of black cherry, violets and plenty of Gevrey-style earth and sauvage characters. The dense, powerful and sappy flavors possess excellent volume before concluding in a driving, balanced and impressively persistent finale. As is usually the case, this is a serious villages and will absolutely need at least 5 years of cellaring but easily reward 10.
