An unusually fresh nose in the context of what is typical for the 2018 vintage consists of a wide array of red berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with earth and discreet floral wisps. Consistent with the freshness of the nose there is very good verve suffusing the well-detailed and lightly stony middle weight flavors that exhibit only a trace of rusticity on the focused, balanced and persistent finish. Once again, this boxes well above its qualitative weight.
