The 2011 Clos de la Roche possesses a very interesting nose that contrasts spice elements with earth and tar-like nuances on the otherwise more typical red and dark berry fruit suffused nose. There is imposing volume and weight to the notably rich large-scaled flavors that possess a very suave and round mouth feel before terminating in a long, very firm and admirably complex finish. This should be excellent in due time.
