Allen Meadows - Score: 90-93 (2014 January)

A background application of wood frames the very ripe aromas of cassis, black cherry, earth and a touch of the sauvage. There is a lush and opulent mouth feel to the concentrated and palate coating medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent phenolic maturity and real drive on the moderately structured, balanced and impressively long finish. This isn't as powerful as the Lavaut but it's slightly finer.
