Relatively firm reduction blocks an evaluation of the nose. On the plus side there is excellent volume and concentration to the bigger and richer flavors that are at once elegant but powerful while delivering a velvety and hugely long finish. While there is a certain seductive aspect to this wine the very firmly structured finish makes clear that it's altogether serious.
