Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 93 (2005 Jan.)

A soaring nose of mature yet vibrant and wonderfully spicy aromas undercut with earth, game and an interesting vegetal note is followed by rich, sweet, classy and powerful flavors that are still carrying noticeable structure on the finish. Not withstanding the tannins, this is probably as good as it's going to get though it may soften somewhat with additional age. In this format, there is absolutely no rush to drink up and it may very well last another 20 years. In short, this is a very impressive '83.
