Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 96 (2019 February)

The impressively pure, cool and airy mix of floral, spice, mineral reduction and iodine notes merges seamlessly into gorgeously intense and almost aggressively stony medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle sense of harmony, indeed this is Zen-like on the explosive, balanced and lingering finish that positively screams Chablis. This possesses outstanding upside development potential though I underscore that it is not so far away from its peak that it couldn't be enjoyed now. I would further observe that while the '08 Clos may not be the most elegant of vintages for this storied wine, it is seriously good. Note that I have encountered mild bottle variation as my scores have ranged between 95 and 97.
