Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 93 (2018 Oct.)

In contrast to many of the prior wines, this is much less 2016 in style with its pure and airy aromas of very pretty floral, pear, oyster shell and plenty of citrus elements. The rich but silky, even caressing flavors exude evident minerality on the sappy bitter lemon-inflected finish that delivers first rate length. An excellent if not truly sensational Raveneau Blanchot.

Vinous - Score: 91-93 (2017 Aug.)

Bright, light lemon-yellow. Discreet, precise aromas of lemon zest and metallic minerality lifted by a floral topnote. Offers lovely inner-mouth tension thanks to racy lemony acidity but also shows a rather exotic banana note today. Still, this strict, backward wine is less harmonious at present than the premier crus at this address, finishing with a firm edge of crushed rock and lemon. A more serious style, showing captivating saline extract without any heaviness.
