Wine Critics Notes:

Allen Meadows - Score: 91-93 (2018 Oct.)

A lightly exotic nose consists of pure white orchard fruit and muscat nuances that display background hints of floral character, mineral reduction and seaweed. The rich, round, succulent and concentrated flavors possess an opulent but balanced finish where the minerality really comes to the fore. Once again, this excellent effort should age well over the mid-term.

Vinous - Score: 91-93 (2018 Aug.)

The 2017 Chablis Les Vaillons 1er Cru, which was slightly touched by the frost at the bottom of the incline, has a composed bouquet that unfurls with yellow plum, beeswax and jasmine aromas that seem to gain momentum in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, fine tension, quite linear in style with a poised, mineral-driven finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Very fine, the most subtle of Vincent’s wines this year.
