This is coming along nicely since my last encounter with it in 2011 and while it's not quite at its peak, it's not so far away that it couldn't be enjoyed now. An ultra-elegant and high-toned nose speaks of cool and almost aloof highly refined aromas of truffle, mineral, floral hints and red pinot fruit that is displaying whiffs of secondary now. There is fine precision to the intense and still tautly muscled medium full flavors that deliver excellent depth and length. This is really a lovely effort as the balance is impeccable and the length is first rate. As I pointed out, while this could be enjoyed now as the underlying material is ripe, I would continue to advise waiting for at least another 5 years and 8 to 10 will probably prove to be about right.
