An openly exotic nose with plenty of secondary fruit aromas is trimmed in enough wood to notice. The impressively concentrated middle weight flavors possess superb intensity along with an oily, even unctuous mouth feel before terminating in a mineral-driven and hugely long finish that displays just a hint of tanginess. For my taste this is completely ready to drink though it should hold at this level without difficulty for up to another decade. In sum while the balance is not absolutely perfect this is still an awfully impressive Meursault villages.
