Wine Critics Notes:

Vinous - Score: 90 (2012 January)

Amber-tinged red. Caramel, flowers, camphor and a hint of green bell pepper on the nose. Then fresher and younger on the palate than the color and the aromas would indicate, offering clean flavors of red fruits and herbs. Finishes with delicate spicy nuances, smooth tannins and good persistence. In contrast to the 1986, I was favorably surprised by this showing, as in the past I have found this vintage of Giscours to be less impressive.
