Generous wood fights somewhat with the menthol-inflected and very ripe plum, cassis and black cherry aromas that are nuanced by floral hints. There is outstanding volume to the seductively textured and opulent flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the velvety and mocha-suffused finish that is shaped by firm if somewhat grippy and inelegant tannins.
