There is a touch of wood framing the cool and very fresh aromas of wild red and dark berries that are liberally laced with humus, forest floor and sauvage aromas. There is good volume, minerality and detail to the broad-shouldered, intense and driving flavors that possess good phenolic maturity on the mouth coating, balanced and lingering finish. While definitely not a forward wine it is more approachable than several of these 2011 grands crus.
