Vinous - Score: 90 (2000 September)

Pure, cool, musky aromas of soft citrus fruits, mint, truffle and spicy oak. Thick and ripe but also fresh and bright, with enticing fruit notes of apricot and mango. By far the most voluminous of these '98s. Finishes long and gently oaky. A satisfying mouthful, even if it doesn't offer the grip or clarity of flavor of an outstanding year.
